SPES - TEST

Product information "SPES - TEST"

Stylized as medieval, light leather court gloves. They will give your HEMA outfit a historic flair.

They can be used by both beginners and advanced users, regardless of gender. They are best for training with a saber, small sword or rapier or for shows, e.g. on stage. They are not suitable for exercising with Feder or other heavy HEMA equipment.

These five-finger yellow gloves are made of cowhide bath leather. They do not have zippers or buttons.

They are made of one layer of delicate and thin leather without lining. They are finished with a hand stitch. The cuffs are wide, so regardless of the jacket used - you will have no problem wearing them.

They cover all fingers, are matched and do not affect the mobility of the wrist during training. Leather gloves are very light and comfortable to put on. Thanks to their construction (separately sewn-in thumb), they allow you to comfortably hold the simulator in your hand.

Courtier’s medieval gloves in historical sources
Similar medieval gloves can be found in numerous historical sources. One example is the 14th century Codex Manesse, which is the most important collection of German poetry from the medieval period.
There is an image presenting Conrad of Hohenstaufen with an eagle during a hunt, and one can notice similar gloves worn by this character. Codex Manesse is kept in the library of Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg.
