Below you may find information table which has an information about necessary measurements needed to make custom product and tips how to take them properly. Standard sizes informations are located at each product card.

Gambesons / Jackets:

Measurement taking method

Taken from bottom of foot to top of the head

Taken from end of shoulder to wrist, outside, with bent arm

Taken with bent arm and tense muscles

Taken around the largest point of the forearm

Taken at wrist joint level

Taken at armpit level (women's jackets- on bust level)

Taken on the back, between arm-shoulder connection points

Taken at armpit level

Taken from navel to bottom line of neck

Taken at the level of the belly button

 Taken at hip joint level

Taken around the largest point of the thigh


MM - HMB Clothing


The below sketches show you how to measure yourself if you want us to sew you a unique medieval garment. Here are a few sets of measurements which we will need to make the specific groups of clothing.
Hose/braies/trousers: A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6
Gambesons/jackets: A1, A2, A4, B2, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, (D7)
Long garments (robes, cottes, surcotes, houppelandes etc.): A1, A2, A5, B2, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, (D7)
Of course, if a measurement is useless in a given product (e.g. "C2 - arm length" in a sleeveless over-armour tunic), you do not have to submit it.
